On April 28, TANG Jiqiang, Institute Professor and CEO of SWUFE Think Tank, published a paper on China Youth Daily, indicating that the “Chengdu-Chongqing Planning Outline” was deliberated at the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, which gave Chengdu-Chongqing region a new orientation and a clearer direction for development. The national layout of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-Cities Economic Circle was the “fourth pole” of China's economic growth, which met the needs of development. Under the current circumstances, the Chengdu-Chongqing region, as a growth pole of high-quality development, could greatly exploit China's strategic maneuver room and consolidate national strategic security.
